Misty's Story...
Misty is a little misty-eyed since she had to leave her home because her owners were moving. But this sweet and gentle girl is facing her new adventure with determination. She is still getting used to her new environment and can be a little shy. Her curiosity, however, is helping her adjust. Misty was born in 2007. She can be vocal at times and enjoys attention and being brushed. We and Misty hope her next home is her forever home!

As we get to know her, we will let you know Misty is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. She is already spayed, vaccinated and microchipped! For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm. Misty is located at Concord Pet in the Shoppes of Graylyn.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Wilmington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
