Facts about Brutus

  • Breed: Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Brutus is an amazing Boxer Mix who is full of energy and loves life. Our handsome male is about 9 months old as of October 2016. He looks like he put on eye liner to catch your attention. Just look into his beautiful eyes so you can see all the way into his sweet soul. We rescued Brutus when his previous guardians could no longer care for him. Now, our cutie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Boxer Mixes are a higher energy breed, so Brutus will do best with an active family. He will bond and become your new best friend as you clip him on a leash and go for nice walks. Brutus keeps his kennel area clean here at our shelter. He is yearning for an adopter to come and commit to loving him for life. Brutus wants to please his person and should learn your house rules when you are his consistent pack leader. He is good with other dogs and looks forward to a meet and greet if you already have furry babies. Brutus also loves people and craves attention. We love Brutus and are committed to matching him to the perfect active person. If you can give Brutus the forever home he needs, please complete an online application at ITVRescue.org. Brutus is ready to be a loyal lifetime companion and he is anxious to meet you!

About It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are generally at Petsmart on Burkhart every Sunday and have adoption events at various locations throughout the year.

Our Adoption Process...

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $150 to $175. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.
