SMOKEY is a big loveable goofball. He loves doggie daycare - even on his first day, he made so many friends. He especially liked the pool. SMOKEY is very affectionate. He LOVES balls and loves playing fetch. He is best friends with LEO, a shepherd - we'd love to see them adopt together. SMOKEY just graduated an 8 week obedience class and he passed with flying colors. He listens extremely well and has learned to sit, stay, and not take food without permission. He's also doing a great job walking on his leash.  SMOKEY is great at entertaining himself with toys too- he loves stuffed animals that he can wrestle with (though he is gentle enough not to rip them up).  He is up to date with vaccines, neutered and microchipped. He's a terrific family dog and has shown us with ball in mouth, waiting at the gate, that he is packed and ready to live with a forever family! About Desert Paws Inc. Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rural rescue, but we are the "missing link" for abandoned animals in our area. We are surrounded by poverty-stricken towns, reservations, and campgrounds where animals are periodically dumped, abandoned or worse. We rehab them, get them medical attention, spay/neuter/vaccinate them, get them into loving foster homes, and placed with forever families. When we have them ready for adoption, these are great sociable, house-trained pets.

Come Meet Our Pets...

2-3 times per month we are at Teca Tu (Sambusco mall in Santa Fe). Other adoption dates in Santa Fe and Albuquerque as well
