Meet Lady!!!!! She is about 4-5 years old Pointer/Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix. She is about 45 lbs. She is already spayed, microchipped and received UTD shots. She was surrendered to a local shelter by her previous owner because they were moving. Currently she is with our rescue group and looking for her forever home.
She is a little shy at the beginning but takes very short time (like 5 -30 min) to warm up with new people. She is actually very affectionate and sweet.
She gets shy with other dogs at the beginning and may show a little confusion, but she warms up with them very quickly as well.. We guess her shelter experience traumatized her and her shyness has been caused from the scary experience. She is so loving and highly trainable. She ignored other dogs on the street during the walk and also has been doing very well at the group training class with other dogs around. She does better with a submissive dog but will be happy as an only dog in household as well. She is great with older children but we don't recommend her to be around smaller children. She can be very sweet with young children but may be confused with them. If you are interested, please go to our website: www.dogzhaus.org and fill out "adoption application" online. Once we receive your application, we will contact you for a meet and greet.

About DOGzHAUS Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

DOGzHAUS (pronounced as DOG HOUSE) is a small, Los Angeles based CA registered non profit dog rescue organization that was formed to give a second chance to the shelter dogs. We are a 501(c)(3) rescur group and your donations are tax deductible.100% of your donations benefit our rescue dogs. The organization is run by volunteers and funded entirely by donations and adoption fees.

All our dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on their shots and micro chipped before being adopted. While at the rescue, medical care is provided for each dog based on their individual needs. We can't guarantee the future health of the dog, and adopters are encouraged to take the dog to their own veterinarian for a thorough exam.

Our Goal:
*Rescuing dogs from life threatening situations at animal shelters and elsewhere.
*Finding their permanent loving homes with qualified owners.
*Assisting owners of dogs who can no longer keep them to find them new homes.
*Educating the public about the advantages of adopting dogs from shelters and rescue organizations, and about the need for spaying and neutering dogs.
*Educating dog owners and prospective owners with dogs about their proper care and training, and about other aspects of each breed.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please contact us for the adoption application form. All dogs adopted through us are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and microchipped. Because the minimum adoption donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask our adopters to help us spread the word about the important work that we do. Our adoption donation minimum is $250 for adult medium to large dogs, $200 for small adult dogs, $275 for puppies 1 year and under (any size) and $180 seniors 8 years and older.
