Bambi is a work in progress but has come a long way since she first entered the shelter system. It is obvious from her behavior that Bambi was not well socialized nor treated nicely during her puppy and adolescent periods so she takes awhile to warm up and trust people as well as become comfortable with their touch, from placing a leash on her to belly rubs. She seems to thrive in the company of other dogs so a good canine role model as well as a patient person would be the ideal environment for her. She's working on sharing with others - she highly values her food and toys and feels threatened when they are taken from her so we are working on exchanging things at this time.

Bambi appears housebroken and is good in her crate. She will do best with a fenced yard and definitely an adult home. Bambi is in foster care so if you are interested in meeting her, please submit your completed application online via the website, in person to the adoption counselors indicating your interest in a foster dog or via fax to 614-525-6658. Once your application has been received and processed, we will put you in touch with Bambi's foster mom to arrange a meeting.
