Meet Huckleberry! This sweet boy loves playing with his tennis ball and is still pretty spry for his age (10 years old). He will drop it, pick it up, drop it, pick it up, and on and on (really, any dog toy, but the ball seems to be his favorite and if he can't find one, a rock will do). He can entertain himself with it or will chase it if you want to throw it! Huckleberry easily settled in his foster home where there are a couple of other dogs. He gets along great with them, but prefers to play with his toys by himself. He may prefer to be your one and only in the house (or with another senior) so he can play with his ball or toys to his heart's content, and away from energetic, young puppies. This beauty is house trained, can stay home without being crated, and ignores the cats in his foster home. He is content to hang outside when the weather is nice, or inside where it's warm and he won't bother a thing. Sweet Huckleberry is looking for a warm bed, loving family, and shared snuggles, oh and a ball to play with! He would make a great companion for someone that is looking for a laid back, older gentleman like him. If you think you can give this senior boy his happily ever after, fill out an adoption application on our website so you can meet him and see if you are a fit for him!
The adoption includes the altering of the dog, current vaccinations, and microchipping. For more information on the adoption donation and our adoption process, please visit our website at www.labsandmore.org and click on "Adopt." You will find our online adoption application there as well. Once you are approved to adopt, we will discuss how to meet our available dogs. Our dogs are NOT housed at our mailing address. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization. Thank you for reaching out to rescue a dog in need of hope!
