Clifford's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Clifford's Story...
Clifford was picked up wandering, which is typical for the breed if they don't have a fence, and no one claimed him. He is about a year old and weighs 85 lbs. He is sweet and happy and playful. He is just a big silly puppy. Loves to play with other big young dogs and also his people but is very gentle with small dogs! Clifford is neutered, UTD on all shots and HW negative. Great Pyr are not herding dogs, they are guardian dogs. He was adopted by a wonderful family in the city with a beautiful smallish home with a smallish yard. We thought he would do well with lots of walks to the bus stop and family activity. He loves his two little girls but he loves them so much and he has such a strong guardian drive that he worries when they are not in sight and he has developed some separation anxiety issues. The family is heartbroken but we all feel he needs to be in more of a country setting where he can go outside and see open spaces. A home on a farm would be wonderful but he would still need to be a family member with a fenced yard. If you would like to bring this special, beautiful, loving dog into your family, PLEASE contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clifford, a Hagerstown Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
