Maverick's Story...
Maverick is a perky 13 month old red doberpup. Working on manners in the home, he will need close monitoring until he matures. Maverick is crate trained and well behaved when crated but will not do well in a home where he is left for long periods of time. Typical for his age, this youngster needs plenty of daily exercise and playtime, and would enjoy a safe yard to burn some energy. Maverick gets along with dogs of all sizes but doesn't realize his size or strength, so will do best with comparably sized canine playmates that share his youthful enthusiasm for fun and games! No cats, please. After a busy day of play, Maverick settles nicely and enjoys cuddletime. Having little previous training, Maverick is hoping to find patient, committed owners willing to devote the necessary time and energy to help him blossom into a well behaved doberboy. Come and meet Maverick at our next adoption event!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Columbus Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
