Cody's Story...
Cody is a Full bred 11 yr Bichon that was surrendered due to owner going into an Assisted Living facility. He is good with other dogs(does well at the dog park), curious with cats and good with all age ranges. He has a history of licking his paws and hot spots so a limited ingredient diet would help and upkeep on baths with a mild shampoo. He has level IV dental disease so a dental cleaning would be needed.
Working on potty training(wears a belly band in house), stairs and wood floors. Prefer a home with an older couple that will give him attention, walks and cuddles. Weight 20 lbs. Intake date 10/13/2016
Adoption fee $80. Neutered, microchipped, vaccinated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a Holland Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Holland, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Holland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Holland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Holland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Holland paves the way for another one to be saved.
