Ledecky's Story...
***WE DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS OUT OF STATE!!! ANY ADOPTERS MUST FILL OUT THE APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE AND COMPLETE A HOME VISIT PRIOR TO APPROVAL. OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS MUST COME TO COLORADO TO MEET THE PUPPY IN PERSON!!!***

Ledecky is a 4 1/2 month old pure bred Red male Shiba Inu puppy that our rescue got from an Amish breeder/puppy mill release. Through a chain of contacts we found out that this particular puppy mill was downsizing, turns out because they were having to shut down for failed inspections, and were trying to disperse their dogs. Ledecky is one of the lucky ones as dogs that stay in the mill system rather than going to rescue turn into breeding dogs for more breeders and breed over and over and over again in small cages, producing puppies for pet stores, for the rest of their lives.

Ledecky is playful but can be a bit shy He is crate trained and runs in for his meals. We feed all our dogs in their crates whenever we lock them up, so when we go to work/school and at bedtime. He is still learning to ask to potty outside but improving. He has been socialized with dogs, cats and children but still shy in new situations.

Ledecky's adoption fee is $525 which includes his neuter, microchip, deworming, age appropriate vaccinations and a 6 week training course at an approved facility.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ledecky, a Loveland Shiba Inu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in Loveland, or seeking a Shiba Inu puppy from a breeder in Loveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
