CookieDough's Story...
Cookiedough is seriously one of the most loving and sweet puppies that you will ever meet. He is 6 months old and came to us with several of his friends from a terrible situation where the puppies were nearly starved to death and kept in deplorable conditions. Cookiedough was so thin and sickly when he arrived and it took several weeks to get him strong and healthy but now, he is positively thriving! He is healthy and happy, and ready for a home of his own. Cookiedough is so gentle and lovable and he is the tiniest bit slow, but it just makes him even more adorable. Cookiedough is so happy to meet new people and make new friends, and he just loves going out for a walk and finding things to pick up and play with. He walks very well on a leash and is very polite and well mannered. Cookiedough will need basic puppy training and will do best in a home with no children under 10. He gets along just great with other dogs and just adores people, and he is eager to find out what a great home is all about! File#26558 8/9/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CookieDough, a Forked River American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer for sale in Forked River, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
