Starlight, or “Star” is a beautiful tuxedo female. Star was rescued from behind the Furkids shelter, when she was noticed hanging around and limping. She was malnourished and scruffy, but very friendly. As soon as the top of the carrier she’d been placed in was opened, she began purring, and she hasn’t ever really stopped!
Because she was limping, Star was taken to the vet, and it was discovered that both her left front and rear leg had been badly broken, and were partially healed. We think she was hit by a car. Her survival is little short of a a miracle.
Despite this tough start, Star hardly seems to notice that she has injured legs. She LOVES to play, and jump, and pounce, like any other adolescent cat, with occasional breaks for snuggling and petting. She has amazing, expressive eyes, and is very curious, and bold.
Star is very active, and needs a home where there is time to play with her and use up her energy but, she also needs a family that understands that her legs are fragile, and she will need joint supplements for life.
