Little Man is a five or six year old chihuahua who weighs eight pounds. We rescued him from the pound just before he was going to be euthanized simply because he had a growth on his neck and no one wanted to deal with it. The growth has been removed, was benign, and he is a very happy boy.
He is definitely a lap dog who loves everyone and everything EXCEPT male dogs who he wants to dominate. Because of this, he ended up in a fight with a torn lower eyelid and that has been repaired. A lecture to him by the veterinarian about being a butthead was free! He is looking for his forever home without male dogs. Female dogs are ok.
The adoption fee is $150.00 which includes current vaccines, spaying or neutering and heartworm/flea preventative.
Your first step in adopting a new family member is to fill out an adoption application. The application must be completed with phone numbers and a vet reference (an old one, or a reason why there is not one) before it will be processed. Your application will not be processed without this information. Visit our website at www.humanesocietyofiredell.net to download an application. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL email@example.com. Thank you for your interest in our animals!
Your message has been sent to Lake Norman Humane.
You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
