Blaze was surrendered to the shelter because his owner is working long hours and has a baby on the way, so they don't have enough time for him. He is very friendly and has a lot of energy.
The Clay County Animal Shelter is located at 14400 Hwy. 45 in Louisville, IL. Our phone number is 618-665-3005. The shelter is open to the public 1-3 M-F. Sundays we are open 1-4 to the public. If those times don't work, please call to set up a time to visit.
The adoption fee ranges from $50 -- $200 for dogs. It includes vaccination, deworming , spay/neuter, heartworm testing on dogs of age and microchipping, which is now mandatory by state law.
All cats are spayed/neutered/vaccinated/flea treated/dewormed and microchipped prior to adoption. Cat adoption fees range from $30-$75. We spay/neuter/microchip/vaccinate and deworm all kittens and cats, prior to adoption. Our shyer/less adoptable cats are classed as "barn cats" and are free with a completed/approved barn cat application, which can be found on our website.
