Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Lucy Lu (HWTH#16351A). She is a Border Collie mix, DOB: 12/12/12. Lucy Lu weighs approximately 50 pounds and stands 22 inches at the shoulders. She and her companion dog (Jake) were relinquished to Halfway to Home because their owner (a disabled vet) passed away. They are being fostered in a home with cats but they have shown that they don't like cats. (Lucy Lu is now at the rescue.) Lucy Lu is extremely sweet and likes affection. She seems to have a calm personality and has had some obedience training (she walks pretty well on leash) but does need an owner who can keep her from getting bored. Lots of love, good-quality human companionship (perhaps a dog sport or hiking), regular daily exercise and playtime will be a must. She will benefit from positive basic obedience training mostly for bonding purposes. Once she has bonded with her new owner, she should make an amazing canine companion. Lucy Lu will need to have a very secure backyard with fencing other than chain link (or look into electric fencing devises) since she can jump fences. Lucy Lu is crate trained and house trained. For more information on Lucy Lu, please contact Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.
