Chaucer is an incredibly handsome, distinguished fellow. He was found inside a locked motel room where he'd been for several days. He was taken to the local shelter, where he was happy to have access to food and water. Unfortunately, it's a small shelter with few adoptions. Chaucer found himself in dire straits again...his time was "up"...the dreaded phrase we hate to hear from shelters. He won the hearts of the staff and volunteers, and although we were actually full, we couldn't say "no." Chaucer is a wonderful, lovable, BIG guy. He's got huge paws and may still have some growing to do, especially if he does have Maine Coon in him. (Maine Coons grow until 2 years of age.) He's got excellent litter box and scratching post manners. He's healthy and ready for his forever home. Chaucer is FIV+, but FIV+ cats can live normal, healthy, full lives - 15-20 years, in fact. It is not easily transmitted to other cats and it is not at all communicable to other species. If you have questions about Chaucer, please contact NTCR and ask!
Please contact NTCR AT 214.454.9395 should you have any concerns or questions.
Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR , contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
