Miss Jet is a 6-year-old, 50-pound German Shepherd. The first thing you should know about her is she loves people. The second thing you should know about her is she really, really loves people. This dog never met a stranger. Within moments of greeting her, you have a new best friend who's happy to go wherever you do - on rides in the car, out for a walk, or just relaxing at home. Before coming to POMDR, Miss Jet spent many of her years as an outdoor-only dog. But that doesn't mean she's totally lacking in manners. She's house-trained and sleeps in a crate at night. She's currently getting some extra schooling on how to be social with other animals. Her herding instinct is intact, and she can come on a little strong at times, so she would likely do best in a home where she can be the lone pet at the center of your world.Miss Jet has really taken to being an inside dog at her foster home. She snuggles happily in her dog bed with a big smile on her face, glad to finally be part of the family. She can get a little nervous when left outside, most likely because she fears she'll be left out there all night like she used to be. When you open that door, she bounds through it with joy in her heart and is happy to have just a little bit of your attention. She is getting over a skin infection that left her with a few bald patches that are slowly healing. We expect full recovery and anticipate Jet will need to be on flea meds going forward. Jet came to us when her guardian could no longer care for her. She still has plenty of love to give to a forever family who's looking for a playful, energetic, beautiful girl.
