Hi, I''m Sage!
Notes from Sage''s foster home:
Sage was brought in with her litter of kittens about 6 months ago and she was a great mom. When she came back from her foster home for adoption, she started to become overstimulated in her cage. She would nip at the cage cleaners and was becoming more aggitated with being in the cage. We decided it was time to send back to foster so we can evaluate why Sage was becoming so stressed. Here is what her foster parents wrote:
She comes to greet us and meows when we enter the room. She loves to be petted and talked to.
Her bites do not appear to us to be aggressive. They are gentle and seem to be a behavior designed to playfully interact with you and an attempt to keep you with her. They are getting fewer, and she knows they are wrong. It seems to happen when she is over stimulated, excited and playful.
She loves to play with things that dangle on a string. Some strings we tie to handles on drawers and some are on a stick so we can play with her. She also has fun batting toys around and chasing little balls all over the room.
We are asking that Sage''s adopters be willing to work with her on her behaviors and are recommending no kids in the home at this time due to the nipping. Sage also has gotten a little `chubby` so she will need to watch her calorie intake. If you are interested in meeting Sage, please contact us and we will arrange a meet and greet.
