We welcome specific questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.
If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Female kitten, not spayed yet, about 8 weeks old (as of 10/01/16), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently in a foster home, will be making appearances at ARF Adoption Events (see http://www.arf-il.org/events.html or https://www.facebook.com/A.R.F.Illinois for times and locations), adoption fee $125.
Juliet came to ARF in mid-September with two other kittens believed to be her siblings (Cleo and Tumbolina) all around 7 weeks of age. Juliet is a little lady. I cannot think of a better description --- she is poised and carries herself daintily. She loves to play with her two cat mates, and while the other two have favorite toys, Juliet just loves to play with all of the toys! She never tires of affection; she will brush up against your leg in order to get your attention so that you might pet her. In addition, she loves to snuggle up against fuzzy slippers and hide under the bed! She is a genuinely sweet kitten who will bring lots of love and affection into your home.
If you are interested in meeting Juliet, you can fill out an online adoption application at http://www.arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with the cat. Filling out the application does not obligate you in any way.
If you’re invited to meet an animal, plan to arrive on time or early,
as we cannot hold animals.
All household members must be present at time of adoption, including dogs.
We appreciate your cooperation.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
