We welcome specific questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.
If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Female kitten, not spayed yet, about 8 weeks old (as of 10/01/16), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently in a foster home, will be making appearances at ARF Adoption Events (see http://www.arf-il.org/events.html or https://www.facebook.com/A.R.F.Illinois for times and locations), adoption fee $125.
Tumbolina came to ARF in mid-September with two other kittens who were believed to be her siblings (Cleo and Juliet), all around 7 weeks of age. She was shy at first but has since warmed up to me and my family and now loves to cuddle and be petted. As a reward, she will purr incessantly for you as a thank you. She is a darling kitten with several endearing Siamese facial traits. Her favorite toy is a laser mouse whose red light she can chase around endlessly without tiring. She has a healthy appetite and an unusual way of drinking water; she will dip her paw in the water then lick it. She gets along well with her two siblings and does not seem intimidated by our dog who is a Bichon. Whoever adopts this gentle soul will be forever rewarded with her love and affection.
If you are interested in meeting Tumbolina, you can fill out an online adoption application at http://www.arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with the cat. Filling out the application does not obligate you in any way.
If you’re invited to meet an animal, plan to arrive on time or early,
as we cannot hold animals.
All household members must be present at time of adoption, including dogs.
We appreciate your cooperation.
