Luna's Story...
MEET LUNA!!! Luna hasn’t even reached her first year and already she has been on one adventure after another. She appeared one day in a small feral colony and quickly set herself apart from the rest of the feral’s because she didn’t resemble a feral in behavior or looks. Her cream colored fur was spotless, her eyes bright and while she was a little thin she looked extremely healthy. Instead of retreating when a human came by, she ran to them crying for food. Within a few days, she was soliciting attention and winding through legs and within another day allowing herself to be picked up and cuddled. She didn’t stray too far from the colony in the three weeks she was there but it was obvious she belonged in a home.
Fortunately, for Luna her next adventure was an awesome one. She was easily picked up, crated and transported to us and she endured it all quietly.
She is now with us, she is spayed, up to date on shots and looking for her forever home. If you are interested in adopting Luna please go to and fill out an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Hazlet American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Hazlet, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hazlet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazlet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazlet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazlet paves the way for another one to be saved.
