Meet Rika! This gentle soul took her time getting settled into her foster, it seems that she may not have spent too much time inside before. Rika starts off a little shy as she gets to know you, but once she realizes all you have is love for her, she warms up and just wants to be with you. Rika is working on her socialization in the house and getting used to all the daily activity of a normal household. She is fostered with a few other dogs and does well with all of them, although she prefers more mellow doggy siblings. Rika is also fostered with a young child and sometimes the energy of younger kids scares her, so we think she will do best in a family with older children that know how to approach her calmly and help her build her confidence. Rika is also fostered with a few cats, and she mostly ignores them. This sweetheart is house trained and walks well on the leash, well enough that one of the kids in the house can easily walk her. Rika is all tail wagging, happy girl while out walking with her foster family. She can stay home uncrated and does not get into anything - she is so well-behaved. Rika can't wait to find her perfect forever family that will have the patience to help her learn about the world around her. This is one sweet, loving, happy girl! If you are interested in meeting Rika, your first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website.
The adoption includes the altering of the dog, current vaccinations, and microchipping. For more information on the Adoption Donation and our Adoption Process, please visit our website at www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt. You will find our online adoption application there as well. Once you are approved to adopt, we will discuss how to meet our available dogs. Our dogs are NOT housed at our mailing address. We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit, all volunteer organization. Thank you for reaching out to rescue a dog in need of hope!
