Hello there! My name is Lucy and boy, do I have a story to tell.
I am so thankful to be here! I recently found myself in a local shelter where I was deemed unadoptable. Why would someone as cute as me be unadoptable? Well you see, I am paralyzed and do not have use of my back legs.
The shelter spent countless hours reaching out to rescue to help me and I am so happy they did because I was saved the day I was scheduled to leave this world, and I'm not ready for that yet.
This does not slow me down one bit though; I love life - snuggling, exploring my surroundings, playing with anybody and any toy!
My foster mom says my 'new wheels' are on their way. She says I am getting a doggy wheelchair, which will help me get around more easily. It sounds good, I'm just not sure what that means yet.
My foster mom says I am a sweet little peanut who is full of joy. I am a bit of a freeze baby so one of my favorite things to do is cuddle under a cozy blanket.
I also LOVE to play with my squeaky toys, and the other dogs in the home. There are 5 other dogs here, I know it's crazy but I really like them!
The ideal home for me will be a home with no young children and of course, no stairs.
Are you searching for a 'life life to the fullest' dog? I am your girl!
