MAGIC is a 5 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 57 pounds. Magic is a little shy but once he has met you he is fine, suspect he was abused by someone in his past. Magic now likes to get petted and to have your attention. When I come in to the kennel he is always at the front of his room with his tail wagging and greets me with a sloppy kiss then he has to figures out where the treats are. He has just started playing with toys and likes to toss them up in the air to play with them, he even brings them back once in a while. He would like a family that has a fenced yard so he doesn’t wander off as he was a stray. . Good with other dogs, has been out with several at the kennel. No cat history. Knows sit, come and down, will have a training addendum. Pulls on lead some, good with an Easy Walk Harness. Crate trained and is probably house trained as he waits to go outside to do his business. Magic comes from the suburbs and has no exposure to big cities. Placements is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area. Magic is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update: Update from Foster: Everything about Magic is gentle. The way he eats, takes a treat, and greets us. He is very well behaved. His favorite activities are sleeping, playing with the two resident dogs and chewing on his Nylabone. He has proven himself trustworthy so he can go where he pleases. When we are not home he lays by the window and his tail wags a mile a minute when he sees us! He loves to be petted and puts his head in our laps to let us know when he wants a stroke. He enjoys going for walks and gets excited but did well with an easy walk harness.

Update: Magic is at the kennel waiting for someone to come meet him and take him home. Whoever adopts this handsome dog will get a lot of love. The animal care staff say he is fun to be with and good with the other dogs when they go out to play.

Update: Magic just came north to be close to his adopters whoever they are. Magic is doing well, he now enjoys being petted and will come over to you to get his butt scratched after he has gotten to know you. He has started to play and retrieve a yellow ducky that he likes to play with. I noticed that he does not like to be hugged and held close to you - think it's because he was treated roughly sometime in his past.
