You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
We're now accepting pre-applications! Each puppy will be ready to
be placed with its new family in late October (our vet will determine the date) under a foster-to-adopt agreement. Actual adoption will occur in March 2017,
when the puppies will be spayed/neutered by our veterinarian.
MEET BROOK!! She and her three sisters and four brothers, were born to Nova, a beautiful young tri-color Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix of superior intelligence and temperament!
BROOK wears a purple collar for her photos. She is one of the larger female puppies and she wanted to explore on photo day!
A funny story about BROOK. Mama, Nova, wears a purple collar, too. We are not sure why, but Nova not only removed Brook's matching purple collar but took it completely out of the nursery! Brook now wears an orange collar, so if you see additional photos with orange, that is the reason!
If you would like to be considered for adoption of BROOK, please complete an adoption application. Please include details of your experience with owning/training German Shepherd or Malinois dogs, and why you wish to own and raise one.
Our fees and policies are on our home page at BetterDaysRescue.org. We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" the dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio or photos are updated.
**IMPORTANT** If you are reading about this dog on a pet search site, PLEASE navigate to our animal list http://www.betterdaysrescue.org/animals/list and read this dog's entire, detailed profile, which includes important criteria that must be met in order for your application to be considered.
Dogs remain posted while we screen potential adopters. The dog's status will show "available" "pending adoption" or "adopted." As long as dog is "available" we continue to accept applications.
We are staffed by all volunteers and use an application protocol to handle all inquiries about adoptable dogs. This system enables an efficiency that allows us to save and care for more dogs. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!
We save, care for, and rehabilitate dogs that may have some medical issues and/ or may not be easiest to place because of lack of training and socialization. Many of our dogs are taken from the euthanasia lists at the County shelters; some are found dogs with no apparent homes.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We make arrangements to meet prospective adopters. Typically, one of the executive officers will preside over the meet and greet. Usually, more than one meet and greet is required before an adoption will occur. The meet and greet is a structured and carefully planned event.
Our Adoption Process...
There is an extensive information application, a home visit is required, references are checked, and there is a contract.
Thank You! Your message has been sent to Better Days, Inc..
You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
