Sonny's Story...
This cutie is Sonny! Sonny is a five month old lemon and white hound mixed boy. He came to Saving Grace after we received a plea from a woman that knew of a family that allowed their dogs to run free They lived near a busy highway and two of their dogs had already been killed, including sweet Sonny's mom. Thankfully we were able to get this boy in time, before he met the same fate! Sonny is just a total doll baby. He loves to play with anything that moves, dogs, toys, kids, cats. He picks out his favorite toy and carries it around everywhere with it, he even snuggles with it. Sonny is extremely cuddly, he loves to be held like a baby and will just fall asleep in your arms. For being a hound dog mix he is not very barky and doesn't seem to have the never ending hunger that many hound dogs do! In fact he lays down to eat his food, and just picks at it for hours. Sonny is something special, that is for sure! He adoption fee is $200 and he has been fully vetted. All Sonny needs now is a home of his own where he can live out his life save and loved!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a St. Louis Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
