If you love chocolate as much as we do, you need to check out our latest sweet selection!  Whitman is a 9-year-old senior dark chocolate lab who was found lying at the end of a driveway and never reclaimed by his owner. He came to us weighing a whopping 112 pounds, which we have slimmed down to 100 so far. Whitman is a happy Velcro dog who wants to go everywhere we go. We even have to step outside in the grass at the kennel where he's boarding to assure him we won't leave when he goes to potty.  He then relaxes and wanders a short distance before returning to the gate and sitting till we open it for him to come back in.  He LOVES to play fetch and be massaged, and his wag motor is always in high gear! Whitman has been neutered and is housetrained, microchipped, heartworm-negative, and on preventatives for parasites. His ear infections are on the way to recovery, and his coat is returning to a glisten.   And can you believe it?   You can enjoy this chocolate without putting on pounds!   He’s calorie-free!

THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide, so distance is not a problem in most areas. We have a variety of transportation options to bring your new family member to you. Typical transport cost to the northeast is $150, but may be less depending on your location (Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA residents.)

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Adoption donations vary and are subject to change without notice. Thank you for thinking adoption first!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process starts with an approved Adoption Application and an interview with one of our adoption coordinators. Our pets must live primarily indoors, and be adopted to homes who demonstrate their desire to add another family member to their home.
