Princess is a year old retriever/lab/Pitt mix. She was found as a stray dog, Her foster thinks she either was used as bait or was injured when dumped, because she had injuries on her back when we found her. We gave her medical attention for them and they are all gone now. She has been spayed and vetted. She was wormed, received her rabies vaccination, parvo/distemper and bordatella vaccine. Princess is kennel trained and house broken. She loves to play outside and run around, but nothing is more pleasurable to her than when a human plays with her. She really loves attention. She was very scared and at first every single noise or thing that moved scared her and she only felt safe inside her kennel. Her foster has been working with her and she has gained her confidence again. She requires lots of exercise and burn off energy. When she doesn't get enough play time and exercise she becomes board and will dig holes for fun! She sleeps all night inside her kennel, and wakes up around 7 she eats in the morning and then at night again around 8. She is very lovable and she really needs a home that will give her lots of love. She deserves it. About Fur-Giving Hearts Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a nonprofit 501C3 organization dedicated to helping neglected and distressed cats and dogs and getting them the help they need. Saving animals and finding them the help they need and placing them in a loving home is so rewarding to us. We are not selective in which animals we rescue. They all deserve a chance no matter their color, breed or condition. We know that we cant save them all, but our thinking is "Why not try?"

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have regularly planned adoption events. Like us on Facebook to see posts for events planned.

Our Adoption Process...

There is an adoption application we require to be filled out and approved first. We check a vaccination history and heartworm prevention history by calling the veterinarian listed on the application.

There is a home visit prior to adoption. Some times this isn't possible because of the distance and in that case we make other arrangements.

We also require a meet and greet. If out of state the adopter would pay for a health certificate to travel across state lines. Usually this is around $20.00 in addition to the adoption fee. The adoption fee ranges based on the animal.
