Sophia had many outings since the first time and does wonderful anyone adopting this sweet smart beauty will be very lucky she will make a wonderful family member

Sophia is about 8.5 months old weigh in at about 55 pounds tallish and lightweight
most likely will weigh under 65 pounds once full grown
beautiful plush tail curls over her back fluffy like a racoon tail
She is crate trained and a indoor dog with outdoor play and potty
Sophia loves water and chasing around the yard, she loves to explore nature and play with other nice dogs
ready for a life filled with fun. love and adventure with her great forever family

She lived in a home with a cat so could be worked with on that, she met a somewhat aggressive cat at petco caged and backed off

She grew up with kids for 3 months of her life that were 7 yrs, 2 years and 6 months old
without any issues
we would love her to go to a home with an older nice child over 8 years we are not looking to place her in a home where there are many small kids so please read the bio we want a great match and forever happy ending
that's what we do and very successfully
Sophia would love nice older kids to romp with or and another fun dog her size
or adult home as someone sidekick and best buddy she loves everyone but seems to be drawn a tad more towards men
a active person that knows how to bond with their dog
would love another playful dog at home her size her sweet nature none aggressive
if no other dog at home many weekly playmates as she loves to be around other dogs

Sophia is eager to please and learn so much more
very very food motivated
she sits and lays down willing to learn much more

she goes on hikes here with us
she is very good in the car on the ride relaxed and comfy enjoying the ride and my attention
while sitting next to me or easy in the back seat too

She is great walking on the 16 foot retractible leash and a no pull harness
she never pulled at all and for a pup her age with the little leash training does super

Sophia thought everyone loves dogs and wanted to greet every person walking by
no fear of bikes, no barking or lunching at anything no aggression issue ever noticed
a human can take her food away (not that we want to do that) but had no problem
also the feet can easily be handled
Takes treats very gentle
LOVES to give kisses and hugs but learning to only lightly jump up for hugs when asked

Sophia has average energy higher while young pup loves to play a few hours daily but not a hyper dog
the chase game she loves and is learning to play it with her human now that her sister was adopted and left her behind

besides blowing bubbles in the water she loves her belly rubbed very lightly, loves being petted
has a very soft coat specially her ears and head
coat is medium length with an undercoat and very plush and healthy, shiny, black with white markings as well as some brown mixed in like the rim on her ears

Sophia met a 40 pound 6 yr old male dog at the park while walking she wanted to play had no fear nor aggression
just ready to play she has never has a negative experience from another dog so wants to play with all

On her outing we stopped and sat outside for 45 minutes and she was fine hanging out with some little minute walks in between
I say for her age she's a very well behaved pup at least she is with me

Sophia also sits via hand signal
She loves french fries which she got 3 pieces as we do not feed junk but a few pieces now and then why not
only live once

She was raised with love not traumatized

Sophia never really chews up any human things as long as she has plenty of daily exercise, love, training and a person at home with time
she LOVES the smoked filled bones to chew on

We are looking for someone that is home during the day that is ready for a new family member

Sophia is a fairly easy pup for someone that is not a first time dog owner
please be a home owner over the age of 26 years

About Save A Dog Today (Matchmaker&Adoption Center)

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501 non profit rescue

We educate dog owners of the IMPORTANCE to spay/neuter their pet(s). Find foster homes where rescue dogs can stay safe until adopted out. Help place owner surrender dogs.

Pull dogs out of kill shelters, rehabilitate, provide them with love, care and medical treatments, then find the perfect match for dog and human.

We don't just find a good home, but the best possible match for dog and human. We have a 99% of NO return dogs. Because we consider the dog and human lifestyles, and carefully select the right home as we want dog/human to be together happily ever after. Adopting a dog is a big decision/responsibility and should be carefully thought of by each family member.

No Formal Shelter, all our dogs are in foster homes

Our Adoption Process...

How our adoption process works:
First Step: E-mail us for a online application or see our website at sadt.info

Second Step: Once we receive your application we will e-mail you back to let you know that we received it .
We will then review your application which can take about 2 days, once approved someone will contact you either by phone or e-mail.

Should you not get approved that does NOT mean you are not a suitable home, but that the dog you choose is not the best fit to your lifestyle or the dogs lifestyle.

We try to match dog and human as best as possible to not just have a happy ending but the dog will hopefully stay in that home "forever.
Third Step: To get approved your Vet references need to check out, meaning that you took prev. pets or current pets to the Vet for at least their Rabies shots, showing that you're a responsible pet owner.
Fourth Step: Once the Vet references check out we will set up a physical home check (or get pictures from you), someone will come to your home, check the fencing, place the dog will sleep, meet all family members, that is to assure us that the animal will be save and live happily ever after.
Fifth Step: Once the home check is approved, you can then come meet your "dream dog" and take him/her home with you, after signing adoption contract
paying the required adoption fee by either cash or check.
We always try to work as fast as possible as we know you are excited to get your new family member home. There will be times that we have family emergencies or are sick so the adoption process could be slowed a bit, we appreciate your patience!
