My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Millie is a silly girl who loves to show off her smile! She is a bit full-figured and in fact we thought she might be pregnant when she was taken into our rescue so we did an ultrasound just to be certain. Turns out she's just "curvy" and there were no pups on the way (phew!). Millie was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high intake city shelter in Missouri where there was simply no room left and she was out of time. She had been found as a stray and never reclaimed. We can't imagine no one looking for this darling little girl. She loves her foster family and they absolutely adore her. She has wonderful house manners, does well on a leash, and is friendly to everyone (unless you're the vet ~ she doesn't appreciate the poking & prodding!). Her ideal home would be one more on the quiet side; toddlers or young, active children would probably overwhelm her. Millie deserves to have a wonderful life and be a spoiled princess. We have promised her she will never again be abandoned or fear for her life. She has put that old life behind her & looks forward to a brand new life with a forever family.

Millie is a Dachshund mix (possibly with Rat Terrier?), born approximately 2012 & weighs 20 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated for distemper/parvo, bordatella & rabies, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. Adoption fee is $275.
