Adaptable and Adorable Davey is overcoming his inherent shyness by getting to know lots of new people and making friends with ease. Part Beagle and part Terrier (Fox or Rat? Pick a charming terrier) Davey is engaging new friends left and right.

Because Davey needs a little confidence boost (it doesn't take much) shy-dog savvy folks might be the best fit for him. He enjoys toys and appreciates a little game of tug or maybe even a training game to boost his ego. In fact, taking Davey through a Scenting Class would be a great start - help him get his Beagle on! He does not necessarily have to interact with other dogs in the class (although he's made some nice friends at MHS) and he will gain pride in showing you his Beagle abilities and terrier spirit.

A mature family with kids no younger than thirteen or so is Davey's ideal match. He can be shy at first, so he needs adult help when being walked. He needs to learn to focus on his people, not the dogs who are in the vicinity. He should be very carefully introduced to other dogs, but only if he chooses to meet them. High energy dogs are not his cup of tea at all.

Davey has some super solid fans who enjoy walking and playing with him. Once he knows who his friends are he is a social fellow who wants to get lots of exercise and learn all the dog basics; especially sniffing, and tricks! The more you teach him, using motivational methods, the more confident he will be and the stronger the bond between the two of you.

Davey isn't just a cute package, he's a terrific find! If love is on your holiday giving list, you need look no farther than Davey. He's ready to give and receive!
