Alpha is a 1.5 year old sweetheart who is believed to be a Schnauzer mix. He was rescued from a hoarding situation. While he was there, he was badly injured by one of the other dogs. This resulted in multiple puncture wounds on his groin. He was covered in flea bites too. HART rescued him along with many of the other dogs from the hoarding situation. He had surgery to repair his wounds and was treated for fleas and hookworm. After spending just two weeks in his foster home, he has become playful and warms up to people quickly. He has been good with dogs, cats and children. He is putting on some weight and is just under 14 pounds now! He is learning to trust other animals but sometimes startles when they are around. He is fully house trained and loves to snuggle with his foster parents at night. He has some fears of unknown noises, especially when he goes outside. Alpha can’t wait to be with a family who can shower him with love! He is going to make a fabulous cuddly companion!
