Hannah's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Hannah's Story...
Take one look at my gorgeous coloring and sweet face and you'll fall in love with me. My name is Hannah and I'm a 2yr old, 16.5 lb Heeler/Doxie-Terrier mix. Quite a combination... right? I love attention and to be petted, I especially love belly rubs! If you want someone that is affectionate, snuggly, and inquisitive about her surroundings then that's me. My foster mom thinks I am housebroken but it's a little early to say for sure. I love treats and take them very gently. I get along well with the other dogs in my foster home. While my favorite thing is curling up in my foster mom's lap, I really need a person to call my own.. think you could be that person? If you’d like to learn more about me, please send an email to info@habitat4paws.org.

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the "Adopt" page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hannah, a McKinney Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
