Chex's Story...
CHEX

Chex is an 11 pound, 2 yr old male terrier blend. He is shy but is warming up to people. He loves dogs of all sizes. Chex is good around children that approach quietly. He is house trained and crate trained and is dog camp approved at Pet Paradise. He has been to Family Dog 101 and 201 at Pet Paradise with his foster's granddaughter. Chex loves car rides and likes to shop. He has been to Michael's and Cottonwood mall during their shop with your dog Wednesdays. Chex plays with toys and is not pushy and would do best in a home where there is another friendly dog to play with. What a great dog!!! If you would like to make CHEX part of your family, please complete an online application at www.lapdogrescue.org and be sure to include his name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chex, a Tijeras Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
