I am a bundle of friendly, happy, sweet love. I'm still a little unpolished but with your love and some training I know I can live up to my name, Jewel. I'm about 2 years old and I wasn't given much training. The Volunteers discovered that I already know SIT, LAY DOWN and SHAKE HANDS so someone must have spent time training me. And I must be pretty smart to have learned that and figured out I should show off to the Volunteers. I can walk pretty well on leash with some corrections. I just get a little exuberant and happy when I am out of my kennel. Wouldn't you? They don't know anything about me except for what the Volunteers are learning about me. I may have spent much of my time outside so I'm still learning good manners. I am very friendly and really enjoy cuddling with you. Belly rubs are the best! I like to get your attention and may jump up to get it. With some correction and training I know I will get better. The Volunteers are already seeing some improvement when they walk me. I've been in playgroup with other dogs and did okay but I was a little uncomfortable. I'm still learning the right way to communicate with other dogs but I already know to be nice when I walk past other dogs. The Volunteers promise to let me into playgroup to learn from the other dogs. I'm glad because I really enjoyed it and love to run free. I have plenty of energy to run and play with you and your family. Please help me become the Precious Jewel I was meant to be. I just know your love, and a little training, will polish me to perfection.
