Maverick, estimated to be 2 years old, is a Yellow Lab mix with a big personality and the temperament of a teddybear. He is a thin, 75 lb., former street dog so he needs to put on some weight and is in the process of learning manners. He is very people friendly and would love to be a lap dog. He enjoys staying near his family and is somewhat protective of them. Maverick is very smart and learns quickly. He gets along well with other dogs; however, how Maverick does with cats, depends on the cat. We don't think he would ever hurt a cat, but, if the cat runs, he will chase it. Maverick loves to play, but he is too enthusiasic and rambuctious to play with young children since he may knock them over. Going for rides in the car, going for walks, and sleeping at the foot of the bed are things that this sweet dog enjoys. Maverick is housebroken. If you are looking for a buddy, you can’t do better than Maverick.
The suggested donation amount for Maverick is $250, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue.
