Peanut's Story...
Hi! Are you looking for someone that makes you smile all the time? Someone who melts in your arms when you hold them? Then I'm the guy for you! I'm so excited when my foster mom walks in the room that I spin in circles...sometimes adding a hop or two. She says I always brighten her day and I love to cuddle on the couch. I'm crate and house trained and sleep through the night like a good boy. Nylabones are my very favorite thing. Some people might say I'm a bone hoarder because I'm always carrying them from one place to another. I've been through a lot but I'm always a happy camper. I did test positive for heartworms when I came out of the shelter but my treatment has been completed. I am now ready to find my forever home. If you'd like a snuggle bug and someone to brighten your day please choose me ... I'm waiting for you. For more on how to make me yours forever, email info@habitat4paws.org.

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a McKinney Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
