Poor Becky was dumped in the shelter''s parking lot on 10/5/16. The act was caught on our security cameras, but the picture wasn''t clear enough to see a license plate or face of the person who did it. She ran around the parking lot until an astute dog volunteer named Rebecca (hence the name Becky) spotted her and alerted staff. Becky was quickly captured by an Animal Conrol Officer before she could run onto the main road.

Becky is shy around men, but getting much better. She is a very sweet dog, who doesn''t make much noise, and is not very active... yet. We assume once she gains her confidence back, she her personality will shine!

We think Becky is about 3 years old, she has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. We are recommending her for a quieter household with no young children. She would love to go home with you!

Our Adoption Process...

How to Adopt:

Take your time getting to know the animal you wish to adopt. The pet you choose should be your pet for the rest of its life, so spend the time necessary to make the right choice. Our staff is happy to assist you in taking a dog out of the kennels or socializing with a cat in the cat room. We encourage each person in your household to get acquainted with an animal before it becomes a new member of your family. We also suggest you bring your present pets in for an introduction to the new animal to form some ideas about their compatibility. Our shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11:00am - 5:30pm. In order to complete the adoption process, it is necessary to begin adoptions by 4:30pm.
