Lilly's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner, and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.

This is the information that we received from Lilly's family:

I need to rehome our 5-year-old Black Mouth Cur. We have raised her from birth, and she's completely house broken. Lilly's great with children and highly active. We just found out we are having our fourth child, so the ability to provide attention, stimulation and love right now is hard. She's truly an excellent dog! Our loss will be someone else's gain.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Austin Black Mouth Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur for sale in Austin, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
