My name is Rocco!

Labrador Retriever Puppy for adoption in Phoenix, Arizona - Rocco

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Rocco's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Rocco's Story...
Rocco is a beautiful 7 month old chocolate lab. He is very sweet, trustworthy, mellow (for a puppy!), and quick to learn. His former family turned him in because they couldn't pay for the hernia surgery he needed. He now has gotten his surgery and he is ready to find his furever home. He is house-broken and crate-trained. He hasn't had an opportunity to interact with many dogs or cats since he's been being fostered (because he has been taking it easy after his hernia surgery), but I get the sense that his former family had other dogs. He is already 55 pounds so he will probably be a big guy!

If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at www.DLRRphoenix.org. Someone will call to schedule a home visit so you can become an approved adopter. Also, visit our wonderful Facebook page at www.facebook/desertlab. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocco, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
