Star was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter. Her rescue mom is so glad she is part of the rescue now as she is loads of fun and so eager to share her endless puppy love. Her trainer says she has that wiggly Beagle energy and the quick intelligence of a Terrier. She's learning her basic obedience commands quickly and enjoys walking on leash with the other dogs at the rescue. She especially likes hanging out with her pal Snoopy (also listed on this site). She's a stand out at the adoption events -- happy and friendly. Completely up to date with her vetting. She will make someone a perfect exercise partner as well as a loyal, affectionate companion. She's on the small size but we do feel she would do best with older, dog savvy children as she may be too energetic for the little ones.

Age: 2

Weight: 30

Temperament: Gets along with dogs and older, sturdy kids; can be cat tested upon request

Training: Crate trained, house trained and good on a leash

Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative

About Doggie Harmony

About Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is a metro-Atlanta dog rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. Our core objective is to place these dogs before they are turned over to animal control facilities, where they may be euthanized. Lastly, Doggie Harmony supports spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs. This includes helping people find low cost resources and/or lending financial support where there's a qualified need.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is an approved non-profit (501c3) organization, so your donations are tax-deductible. If you would like donate, you may direct funds to our address below, or to our PayPal account at donate@doggieharmony.org.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Doggie Harmony does not hold regular adoption events, so watch our website for special events. We also encourage you to contact us about pets you may be interested is, as we are always willing to bring them to meet you.

We do not have a shelter, so we are only able to support animals with foster homes or donations toward short-term boarding.

Our Adoption Process...

Those interested in our adoptable pets are asked to complete an application that will allow us to assess whether a particular pet is good fit for their household and lifestyle. If it is, we will then bring the pet to their home for a meeting. If all goes well, the adoption contract is initiated and a fee is collected, but held for two weeks to ensure the adoption is a success. Our fees vary depending on each pet and what has been invested medically and behaviorally to ensure they are adoption-ready.
