Butter's Story...
Butter #5573 is a 1-year-old female, Aussie/Terrier mix. She is very sweet, but shy. We have been working with her and she is starting to come out of her shell. She is crate trained. She likes other dogs. She walks on a leash nicely. She weighs 18 pounds and is full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butter, a Waldorf Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
