Timber's Story...
My name is Timber and as you can see I'm a very handsome 6 lb. 3 yr. old Yorkie mix boy. Instead of taking me to the shelter, my owners threw me over an 8 ft. fence onto a concrete slab late at night just like a bag of trash. The shelter called All About Paws and they immediately got me. The vet did X-rays and a good check over and luckily nothing was broken, just very sore and bruised. So now I am getting lots of rest and TLC at my foster mom's. I get along fine with my K9 siblings but a human lap is ideal for me. I am a little shy towards new people but I warm up very quickly. I also love to lay on your lap and sleep, or just chill in a doggie bed. I'm leash trained and can go for walks , I am also crate trained but I enjoy sleeping in the big bed with my favorite human. I’m a very quiet boy and foster mom says I’m doing great on my housetraining. I think I would be a great addition to any family that has a place in their heart for a dog that's obviously had a rough beginning in his life. NO SMALL CHILDREN. Timber is up to date on all shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, microchiped, de-wormed, and neutered. Timber’s adoption fee is $300.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. For events calendar and adoption application please go to our website at aaprescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timber, a Bridgeton Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Bridgeton, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Bridgeton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bridgeton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bridgeton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bridgeton paves the way for another one to be saved.
