Friendly, loving, curious, affectionate and engaging - these are all words that describe our handsome boy Freud! Freud was actually adopted out as a puppy in March 2013, and he was returned to us at the end of September 2016 through no fault of his own. His previous adopter’s granddaughter, who is allergic to dogs, moved into the house, and they decided to return him. Luckily for Freud, he was taken in by one of our dedicated volunteer families the day he came back to us for foster care until his adoption. This just happens to be the same family who fostered him and his siblings the first time around over 3 years ago, and they even adopted Freud’s mother (who is now one of his playmates). Freud has since then been eating 3 times a day to help him gain his weight back, although some of his slim figure is owing to his part sighthound genetics. Freud was 23 pounds at the time of his return, though his ideal weight is between 35-40 pounds (his sister from the same litter weighs 41 pounds). This handsome Labrador Retriever/Whippet mix is fantastic with other dogs, is housebroken, loves playing with tennis balls and toys, and is a total love bug who loves to give hugs and kisses. At roughly 3 years and 11 months old, Freud would love to have a true forever home to call his own for his 4th birthday!
