Meet Beautiful Beyla Bear! Beyla was raised by a loving person since she was 12 weeks old. Her owner recently died and trusted an SSRR volunteer with finding his beloved girl a great family.
She is a 5-year-old, pure-blooded German beauty who loves to play, go for walks and give tons of kisses. She will walk away from food to get a belly rub or any type of loving. Of course she thinks laps are for snuggling on…even if they are smaller than she is.
Beyla is confused as to why she’s left the only house and safety she has ever known. Due to her owner’s illness, Beyla has spent a lot of time alone, which makes her love attention from every human she meets. Sweet Beyla is slowly working to join her foster family dog pack, but she’s not sure of some social skills due to her isolation.
Thankfully SSRR and her foster family found an awesome trainer who works on teaching dogs and humans how to interact in a way that requires the dogs to be praised for good behavior, never punished, and maintains leadership through patience and practice. The training goal is to give each dog confidence. Specifically, the trainer activates the brain of these working dog breeds so that their job is to remain calm and relaxed while relinquishing control to humans. Approved applicants will get to meet with Beyla’s trainer and learn his techniques so that a transition into a new home will be consistent with what she has been taught and what has been reinforced in her foster home environment.
Beyla loves to chase anything that moves, including leaves, making her not a good match for cats or small dogs. She is house and crate trained and eagerly listens to all commands.
Beyla is microchipped, spayed, up-to-date on all vaccines; she has been well cared for as evident in all her vet records.
Only applicants in the Houston, TX, and surrounding areas will be considered for Miss Beyla.
