JOJO is with Meredith + Peter Vaughan 415-990-8655 email@example.com
Jojo is a 40 lb, 7-year old cattle dog/Australian shepherd mix (according to a DNA test) who is extremely smart, loving and obedient (and has a really soft coat!) Despite being 7, people always think she's a puppy-she looks like one.
She is house trained, crate trained, great in the car, knows basic commands, spayed and current on her vaccinations.
Jolene also needs a little more care than the average dog. We adopted her seven years ago and she has always had anxiety issues when meeting new people - barking and avoidance. She also is not great in loud places with traffic, skateboarders, bikers etc. Jojo also needs a little bit of time and some treats with new visitors. To help her be less scared in these situations she is prescribed anti-anxiety medication by her vet.
She is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet- very loyal and loves to snuggle. She's emotionally intelligent and cuddling up to you in bed or on the couch is one of her favorite things. She loves playing fetch and is lightning fast-this pup loves her tennis ball! She also is great on hikes and long walks. Jojo is a total sweetheart and we love her immensely.
We have to make this heartbreaking decision because she has not done well with our nine month old son and recently nipped him. It didn't break the skin, but we don't think that being around a young child is a good place for Jojo.
She would do fantastic in a home with no children and an experienced dog owner who is able to give her the TLC she deserves. She has had playmates, but can be feisty with other dogs if she feels threatened.
