JOY's Story...
SAY HELLO TO JOY!

Joy is a gorgeous purebred Shih Tzu girl. She is
8 years young and came to our rescue through no fault of her own. Her elderly owner passed away and found herself without a home when relatives did not want to care for her. Joy is brindle in color, petite and oh so adorable and weighs about 9 lbs. She's active and acts much younger than her age. She also uses the doggie door. Joy loves to walk on a leash and is house trained.

She is a longer coated breed and will require daily brushing and professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. Her adoption fee for both together is 275.00 which includes her spay, vaccinations, rabies, microchip and professional groom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JOY, a Phoenix Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
