Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are honored to roll out the red carpet and announce the rescue and arrival of Princess Clarabelle! This stunning young darling is nothing short of royalty. She is a lovely Australian Shepherd mix, and she is about a year and a half. She only weighs 37 pounds with no expectations of getting any larger due to her breed. She thinks she is maintaining her figure due to a personalized royal diet, so please don’t mention to her that she, in all actuality, is done growing.
But really, she is one of the sweetest dogs you could find. In fact, she is quite timid and shy with new people. We can tell that all she wants is a loving and kind furr-ever home where she can relax with you and be safe, whether she gets the ‘royal’ treatment or not. Clarabelle is quite accommodating, especially if you already have a dog. She does well with other dogs. She has not yet been cat tested, but RARE is always willing to engage in testing to learn her attitude and overall behavior with cats, if needed.
Clarabelle is light heartworm positive, but she has already started her treatment and on her way to recovery. As always, RARE covers the treatment with our veterinarian at no extra cost to the adopter. Heartworms are treatable and dogs can live healthy, fulfilling, and amazing lives after treatment. Please don't let this stop you from giving an animal a good home that it deserves and needs so desperately. We will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
****************AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED!***************
Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information.
All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.
Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.
Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
