Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our group became interested in what other rescue groups were doing in Mexico. We had heard so much about the dog meat farms in Korea, but we knew little about Mexico. It turns out that the situation in Mexico is very dire. Abuse occurs every day; starvation, disease, abandonment, and we could not turn our backs on them once we knew the truth.
These two sisters we found on a facebook page that offers animals for adoption. Thankfully these girls belonged to a compassionate family that agreed to continue their care, including regular visits to the vet and eventually sterilization. We agreed to pay the costs of their care and neuter the parents, which remain with their human family in Tijuana. Mom and Pop dogs will be neutered in the early part of November:)
These two sisters have had vaccinations, including rabies, certainly received meds for fleas and ticks, and were on a healthy diet from early on. They were never on the streets, and their excellent health shows that to be true.
They are very sweet and energetic. Basic manners are being learned as I type this as they are currently fostered in Santa Cruz with a retired couple that stay quite active with their charges:)
They are yet to be house trained and their excitement about life is exuberant, so, if you have little ones, you must be an experienced dog owner to adopt or very willing to learn the rules about children and puppies living and loving together!
Adoption fee is $350.00 Applications are on our website karmicrescue.org
