My story

Rufus is a happy 5 year old little guy who was more than relieved to be rescued from a "hoarder" situation where he was one of many dogs that were being severely neglected. He was a stinky and skinny mess when he first made his way to the Cocker Inn, but wow, what a difference a bit of TLC has made. He is now free of heartworms and has been to Cocker boot camp where he learned skills such as house training, walking on a leash and sleeping in a kennel. He was also introduced to some of life's simple pleasures such as toys, tennis balls and hugs. Rufus's had to be shaved when he first came in but his coat is growing back nicely and he is super soft and cuddly. He was one of many dogs in his previous life but now he is enjoying the attention that he gets from his foster mom. His favorite thing is have his ears rubbed. Rufus is a bit protective of his toys and tennis balls with other dogs but would most likely be great around older kids. He also appears to be fine around cats. We absolutely adore this little guy.
